Cernunnos Celtic god ritual offering candle
This ritual offering candle is created to honor the Celtic god of nature and all wild things: Cernunnos. If you want to be sure you're giving an appreciated offering, this candle is it! The candle is pine-scented and adorned with pine needles, snake skin, amethyst and citrine crystals - all offerings in themselves corresponding specifically to Cernunnos.* The candle comes in a 3" x 2", 8 oz. tin.
Cernunnos is the god of beasts and wild nature; a protector of the forest. Often called the Horned One or Horned God, Cernunnos is the embodiment of masculine energy, power and fertility. He's associated with the hunt and the underworld (as certainly the hunt can result in death.) Cernunnos is often pictured holding a serpent in one hand (a frequent symbol of death.) and a torc in the other. The torc is the Celtic symbol of nobility. This is no doubt a sign that Cernunnos was widely worshiped and a major god in the Celtic pantheon.
