Bastet / Bast Egyptian goddess ritual offering candle
This offering candle is created to honor the Egyptian cat goddess, Bastet (aka Bast.) Catnip, tiger's eye chips, jasper chips and lavender adorn this special gift. The candle is scented with sandalwood and it comes in a 3" x 2", 8 oz. tin.*
Bastet has dominion over life's pleasures, domesticity, childbirth, women and children's health and perfume. Second only to Isis in popularity, the great festival of Bastet was one of the most lavish and popular events of the year. Women were freed from all constraints during the annual festival. They celebrated by drinking, dancing, making music, and raising their skirts...which expressed the festival's encouragement of ridding oneself of inhibitions as well as with the fertility associated with Bastet.
Bringing offerings to deities is a time-honored tradition. With up to 30 hours of burn time, you will be able to honor Bastet an hour a day, every day for a month, if you so choose!
*Kindly note that due to the unique nature of hand-made goods and the availability of materials, adornments, ingredients and colors may vary from those shown. But know that each candle will be equally beautiful and perfectly appropriate for each entity.
