Gaia Greek goddess offering candle
This offering candle is created to honor Gaia, the Source of all life and the personification of the Earth itself. The color of the candle symbolizes the Earth, Gaia's body. It's adorned with sunstone, honoring the sun, selenite powder to honor the moon and sea salt to represent and honor the seas. Additionally, holly and laurel leaves are added as direct correspondences to Gaia, in her goddess form. The pine-scented candle comes in a 3" x 2", 8-oz. tin.*
Autumn is a perfect time to give thankful offerings to Gaia, as she provided the vegetation which is harvested. Imbolc, February 1, is another significant holiday to honor her because it marks the days becoming longer and light returning after the dark winter. She should also be celebrated on Arbor Day and, of course, Earth Day!
Bringing offerings to deities is a time-honored tradition. With 30+ hours of burn time, you will be able to honor Gaia an hour a day, every day for a month, if you so choose!
*Kindly note that due to the unique nature of hand-made goods and the availability of materials, adornments, ingredients and colors may vary from those shown. But know that each candle will be equally beautiful and perfectly appropriate for each entity.
