Janus Roman God Offering Candle

$26.99

Extensive research was done to ensure everything chosen to make this offering candle, including the scent and color, is a perfect offering for Janus, the Roman god of beginnings and endings. The adornments specially chosen for him are juniper berries, pine needles, and hibiscus.* The candle is scented with pine and has an approximate burn time of 30 hours. The 8-oz. tin measures 3"x 2".

As the Roman god of beginnings & endings, Janus may be called upon to help one through life's milestones or when looking to make a significant life change: a new career, new partner, new living arrangements, having children, dealing with divorce, etc. His dual nature also carries over into divination. Janus can see the past and future so he's an excellent guide in making important decisions as well. The month of January is named for him. Numa, the second kind of Rome, appropriately moved the date of the new year to January 1 (from March) to symbolize a "new beginning" in Janus' month.

*Kindly note that due to the unique nature of hand-made goods and the availability of materials, adornments, ingredients and colors may vary from those shown. But know that each candle will be equally beautiful and perfectly appropriate for each entity.
